SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. — Every day when I walk into work as a public-school teacher, I am prepared to take a bullet to save a child. In the age of school shootings, that’s what the job requires. But asking me to return to the classroom amid a pandemic and expose myself and my family to Covid-19 is like asking me to take that bullet home to my own family.
I won’t do it, and you shouldn’t want me to.

Has anyone received a property tax refund because these chronic whiners have not worked for several months? However, the still get paid. Stop paying these bums. Fire them if they won’t do their already over paid 7-8 month a year jobs.
Time to lay off teachers who don’t want to teach. They all ready get the summer months off. They enjoyed a nice paid vacation. You don’t want to teach? Retire. Get laid off. They are to blame for a lot of the commie, lazy stupid millennials anyway.

What about stopping her paycheck? The problem is that teachers get paid no matter what.
But that paycheck will probably stop happening once everybody takes their kids out of the public school system and develops alternatives, which is happening even as we keyboard.
People need to protest against paying insane taxes for a service that is not delivered.
This needs to happen, again...

No one is insisting they show up to teach. In fact, parents would probably prefer teachers who aren’t prone to hysteria. There are plenty of other professions they might pursue. I hear Wendy’s is hiring.

And, many of them would quit. They can't. In Texas, teachers' 2020-2021 school year contracts have already been signed, and the districts won't let them quit. Teachers have already been teaching online for two months now, so why should they go back to the classrooms? Just to to babysit your little darlings? Parents are always complaining about how public school has taken over the job of parenting. Well, here's your chance to start raising your own kids!
