This is why my wife and I relocated our family from our home in California. Leaving behind our jobs, Our family and friends, and relocated to the Gulf Coast of Florida.
We saw this coming when it became obvious that California was about to elect Moonbeam as Governor.
That was our clue it was time to leave. We initially missed all our family and friends but, all these years later we also realize it was the BEST move we ever made.

I left conservative Orange County in ‘94. Have never looked back. My brother and his wife just retired and are moving to Padre Island (Corpus Christi), Texas this week. California is nothing more than a 3rd world country today.
The Gulf coast of FL is heaven on earth.

I would be gone from California now if it were not from these idiotic Covid lock-downs and policies. I am trying to go back east to scout out cities. The way it is going, I am going to miss my chance this summer and I am going to have to wait until next spring. It makes me mad to no end.
I simply cannot wait to flee this communist hell hole and return to America.
The worst thing is, I was all set to move to Virginia Beach when the commie libs sacked Virginia and turned it into East California. Now I have to search all over again for where I want to live. I am thinking Tennessee, South Carolina, or Florida but I need to visit first, and these idiotic Covid policies are making that difficult to impossible.
Good thing I am a patient man. Still, I can’t wait until I can duplicate your post, say “I left California in 2020, BEST move I ever made”. I am counting the days. Literally.
