Very old ‘fake’ news. There was a report that The Villages had the highest rate of increase in STD back about 10 years ago. Turns out there was a small increase in absolute terms but because of the small number of cases, the percentage increase was very large. (For example: Assume: In 2010, there were 5 cases. In 2011, there were 15 cases. That would be a tripling. However, it’s still only 15 cases in a population of 50,000. Assuming you believe 50,000 live there.)

In the aftermath of the housing bubble’s bursting, The Villages kept growing, and it continues to grow at an even more rapid pace. The drive-by media are no great fans of The Villages either. Gee, I wonder why.
