Flu season is coming to an end. No surprise there
The self-quarantine my brother was talking about was folks that had just arrived from the northeast.
An elderly neighbor of ours had been in one of the rehab places in Washington State that had the virus. He was released to his home, and has done a remarkable job of staying inside for the 14 days.
He’s off of it tomorrow - of course we are still under the “stay-at-home” guidelines, but I’m guessing he’ll find an excuse to drive to the drug store. We’ll try to talk him down from it.

You are wrong and hysterical. First of all every ICU patient with covid or suspected covid at my institution gets the combination . Second the french study is interesting but not stunning. It is an observational trial (anecdotal). It is not a double blind randomized trial. It uses viral load as an endpoint not a clinical indicator as an endpoint. Clearly we need more studies with a better design but critically ill patients are not being denied this treatment combo

Now we know that there is an FDA-approved drug that is only deemed “experimental” when being given for COVID-19.
It’s time to start applying logic to what we’re doing instead of killing the country in the name of saving lives. Because at this point, more lives will be adversely affected or even lost by the ensuing Depression than will be killed by this virus.

That is exactly my fear, and I think it is a valid fear.
Dan Bongino put it best in one of his podcasts, when he stated the difference in jobs between Dr. Fauci and President Trump.
Fauci is a physician at his root, so he is all about saving lives. He doesn’t do triage, and he doesn’t worry about anything else except the bottom line: His goal as a physician is zero deaths. He isn’t a navy Corpsman doing triage. Any death is bad, no deaths is good.
President Trump has a very different job and focus. He has to care about everything. He has to do triage as if it were war, and it is what he should do. To Trump, losing 500,000 Americans to this contagion is bad, but losing millions of lives, reducing the quality of life, length of life, nutrition, increased suicide rates, and destroying the income of tens of millions of Americans all by plunging the country and the world into a depression is something he has to take seriously and consider. He has to perform a triage. It isn’t that he doesn’t care about someone’s father, Aunt Mabel or a child, he has a bigger family to consider, in much the same way a general in a battle cannot obsess about an individual death, as important as that may be.
Dr. Fauci does not.
If retired it isn’t THAT hard to quarantine if you live in a place with stores that will shop for you...and you just pick up...or you get deliveries. We’ve been doing it for about 16 days now.

A new French study was just completed. Yes this is the second one. It had more participants this time and the results are stunning. The United States is willingly and actively withholding hydroxychloroquine. Not a single Hospital in the United States is using this known cure. In one week the death rate will be 1,000 per week, following that in 2 weeks the death rate will be 10000 per week unless this known cure is put into full force. Again, not a single hospital is treating with this Dome cure as it standard form of treatment. If you go into the hospital now you are chances are not very good. President Trump needs to act now.
