You are absolutely correct, except for one thing....
the Rats do not have a gavel in the senate.
Hopefully nothing in my post came across as "giddy". I'm not giddy about any of this mess.
Other than the hope that these folks will do a pretty good job, the only other positive out of this is that Republican Reps get to face their Dim counterparts on a more level field, and maybe get the last laugh by crushing Schiff and Pelosi's dreams (typed in a very much ungiddy manner).
