Buried inside a midsummer report for Pete Buttigieg’s campaign outlining his own strengths and weaknesses, a few lines crystallized one of the most important developments of the 2020 presidential race: black voters’ relative lack of interest in the black candidates. “They see potential in her,” Buttigieg’s pollster wrote about Kamala Harris, after interviewing groups of black voters — “but do worry that America won’t elect a black woman.” And for many, Harris’ June debate criticism of Joe Biden on racial issues did not feel sincere.

kamala harris is - at best - 1/4 black and, according to her own father, is descended from a slave owner in Jamaica (Hamilton Brown). Between herself and corey booker combined they are 3/4 black at the most.

Black voter perhaps were aware Harris isn’t particularly black.
They have a good reason for that, Blacks voted in the high 90’s percentages for Obama.
Even blacks who were conservative said that they could not not vote for Obama
The Black community is very saavy. They certainly have no desire to go back to food stamps and the “transformational politics” of the community organizer president of dirty name.
They want more of our great economy what President Trump has created to produce the lowest unemployment of the community
in the history of the country. And in this we are one nation, undivided. Kamala was and is still a divider, just like Booker is.
Black folks know now that no divider will be s supported again , even if they might fall or claim to fall within the definition of a “black person.”
Many were furious because she prosecuted plenty of blacks for marijuana-related crimes, then laughed when she was asked if she had smoked pot herself.
She was just an “Auntie Tom” to blacks, and her relationship with a married man didn’t endear her to black women.
Because she is not black? ha!

Excuses, excuses. Oprah Winfrey is probably the most popular daytime host in America over the last 30 years precisely because she shrewdly plays a role. And with a lot of Media-help former first lady Michele Obama has reached cult-like status. So don’t try to tell me that Kamala Harris is unelectable because of attitudes within the electorate — you’re always going to have those. The problem is that Kamala Harris is her personality.

Though Hunter does not dispute the accuracy of the quotes, he has pointed out that these statements merely distinguish between different cultures and do not reflect negative feelings toward other races.
Hunter also has indicated that he would be uncomfortable with having a homosexual teammate, citing his Biblical upbringing as the motivator behind his discomfort.
Wow. Hunter really did turn off his filter.
That said, the lack of significant numbers of black American men in Major League Baseball is a downer.
Reginald Martinez Jackson...with a middle name like that, is/was he still considered black?
The only woman who comes off more cold than Michelle Obama is Hillary. And I could be convinced it’s the other way around.
I think Trump would obliterate her in a campaign
So is it only black voters who are important?
Because Kamala does have “black” in her but it’s “Willie Brown”.
Kamala is a phony. People see through her. She only cares about her own career.
Forget what she looks like.
They know where she’s been.
And they can’t get that image out of their heads
People in CA are always quick to fall for the phoniest of all candidates.
