Actually, from the ground here in rural KY, I’m not surprised by the results. There is a box on the ballot for “straight R” and one for “straight D”. A LOT o people are straight R, except Bevin was going their ox. So a lot of people voted republican but voted against him for governor.
People lost sight of the bigger picture. The Nation hangs by a thread. We need to turn back the Left not encourage them.

Curious as an outsider what was it specifically that Bevin did to tick so many people off - as you put it ‘goring their ox’.
Why was Bevin supposedly so disliked?
Ky is one of 7 States that allow straight ticket voting. Most abolishing it now. Regret Bevins loss.
