Because what the NYPD special squad saw on Weiner’s computer was... for veteran investigators... beyond sickening. This is a fact. They made a copy for Rudy, it is said, because the knew Schumer and his mob friends would cover for Weiner the pervo, and do so under the aegis of a cabal of political power. Such is the rather public rumour.
Given that it's factual (I can't say yes or no) one could understand how Rudy is so in-their-faces about going after Joe and Hunter.

Doesn’t matter who they made a copy for; we all know Hillary is above the law.
Rudy took care of the NYPD during his time as Mayor, and supported them wholeheartedly. I'm glad to see that they paid him back in kind by sharing these emails with him. They knew they would otherwise disappear down a hole.
