One potential complication I see is that when the courts decided that homosexual marriage was okey-dokey, I think they tore down any real basis for the idea that “You can’t marry that person”.
Incestual marriage is not OK? By what standard? And does that standard also indicate that homosexual marriage is OK? What standards are we following? I kind of thought it was “anything goes”.

I made that point to many here in Minnesota. “Love Is Love”, they’d say about gay marriage.
I said “OK, then what? If love is love, can a brother and sister marry? Or how ‘bout two sisters? Can an uncle marry his niece? Can a guy marry his dog?”
The retort was always “Don’t be ridiculous. There are standards”. I said “Oh no, there’s not. By allowing gay marriage, you’ve opened up a Pandora’s Box or slippery slope situation that will lead to things that are ruinous to our nation”.
Their response? A grimace, eyeroll or “Don’t be stupid” comment.
