Moving Down Abusive Fine Wines in Connecticut

It's a strange custom indeed to mow a lawn. In order to mow a lawn, you must first create a lawn. And that takes work. You must first take a backhoe and turn over the soil. Then plant the grass seed. Toss in a little hay (to keep in moisture). Then water frequently. Then 4-6 weeks later, the grass is growing in force and you must now mow weekly.

Basically a lot of work in order to create reoccurring work .

So tomorrow is Independence Day and most everybody will be grilling hot dogs. Why hot dogs? I would rather grill sausage or steak. But call me weird. Still, I won't pass up a good hot dog.

I was driving the Saw Mill Parkway today. Totally insane. I think I'm lucky to be alive. Everybody trying to get home for the LONG holiday weekend. But I made it.

Probably because cars are made much better these days. My car has gotten me out of a lot of jams. Brakes work good and it can get to a good speed quick. Six cylinders! Awesome power.

Everybody must agree that "Ring of Fire" is a pretty awesome song. Of course, the original Johnny Cash version. But there are so many cover versions that are equally as good.

For instance, the version by Sharon Shannon from the 2006 Live at Dolans recording. Pretty darn good. From that same recording, "Courtin' In The Kitchen" is equally as good.

Donald Trump is having his big parade tomorrow. I'm definitely watching it but not live. I'll be spending tomorrow with family and friends grilling various meats and celebrating the anniversary of our nation's Independence. I figure we'll have our Republic for at least a few more years anyhow. But when I come inside tomorrow night, I am going to definitely stream some RSBN and retroactively watch the festivities that will occur in Washington DC tomorrow.

I was walking down 57th Street in New York City this week and those buildings are getting pretty darn tall. I must say.

Thanks SamAdams76. I love your flight of thoughts for this post. It somehow encapsulates what life is like for so many of us. I am working on call the entire weekend, and the only day I have off is today (July 4th), but I feel so lucky because I was born in this nation - and have had significant opportunities that go along with that. Happy Independence Day ,and my best to you.
