On to the NHL finals.
It's been a long time since the last Boston Championship. Just over 100 days I believe.
LOL, the Celtics are dragging you guys down.
Meh
Might be San Jose’s year (finally).
That Was Easy!
Thanks to the refs.
Damn those Celtics. They used to be good.
That 28th championship is always the hardest one to win. :-P
Never cottoned to the NY sports teams. Still a Boston sports fan.
But I did see Billy Joel in MSG so I guess I'm somewhat a New Yorker.
That was last century, what's the count this century?
#@%$!
But I would root for Boston to win the Cup over the eeeeevil Sharks.
Go Blues!
Lived in Boston area most of my life. Last 2 years here in Philadelphia to be near my kids. Sports are not the same here. I’ve been to many parades for the Celtics, Bruins, Patriots and Red Sox. Boston, hub of the UNIVERSE.
PFFFFFFFFFFFTT!!!!!!!!!!
They used to be good.
Indeed, sixteen championship banners between 1957 and 1986, but only one (2008) in the last 33 years!!!
Although I am a lifelong native of Maryland, the Celtics have been my favorite basketball team since I was about ten years old (1970).
This season started with such high expectations with the returns of Kyrie Irving and especially Gordon Hayward (coming off that gruesome opening game injury last year).
Unfortunately, the team chemistry never meshed and the younger guys (Tatum, Brown and Rozier) couldn’t gel with the veterans.
Not sure what the answers are to make this once-storied franchise win again, but they are basically back to the lean years leading up to the 2008 title.
Finally, I wish they would replace Brad Stevens with a more proven NBA coach.
BTW, the man in charge, Danny Ainge just suffered his second heart attack in recent years, likely succumbing to the wrenching collapse against the Milwaukee Bucks.
I go back to the Gerry Cheevers days , he used to wear a plastic (padded) face mask and he would make fake stiches on it wear the puck would hit his face...in Louisiana enjoying the B’s trip to the cup...would like to see a St. Louis /Boston match up...Sharks suck...especially Thornton who was a huge failure for the Bruins ....looks like a clown with his beard nowadays.
Yeah, I think of the Blues as an “honorary” Original Six team.
I used to love sports as a child. Now I have better things to do than watch a bunch of millionaires playing a kids’ game.
Well, you know what Yankees fans say in New York ...
That 28th championship is always the hardest one to win. :-P
Now they say that the fourth game of an ALCS is the hardest to win even when you are up 3-0 in games.
I would say that I have better things to do than hang out on an anonymous online forum but apparently those words would ring hollow here.
