These are French armored vehicles from French armored units of some sort. The EU insignia is just Macaroni's idea about having a EU army. Just stick a small insignia on vehicles and it is done. If things really get out of control I doubt the Germans would be foolish enough to respond to a call from Macaroni for ‘EU intervention’. Having German troops in Paris would be very bad optics to say the least. He could ask the Algerians and offer them money and new uniforms and equipment.
