I asked a liberal friend recently, “{What would be required for you to become conservative.”
He could not answer.
I told him, “I know precisely what it would take for me to become liberal. If I gave up my self respect and moral decency it would be an easy slide. I would fit right in.”
He said, “That is what is wrong with you conservatives. You are too moral. You need to loosen up. Take a hit on this pipe. Get yourself a girl on the side. Get dirty once in a while. It will do you good.”
I rested my case.
