The irony is that the Republicans can keep RBG's seat open a long while. But, the Dems will be DEMANDING a 'like-kind' replacement. Yeah, even though — if the shoe was on the other foot — they'd be lecturing us about how any sort of "litmus test" is "against the traditions of our great country, and just wrong."

I don’t think so. As we know, Roberts has some “moderate tendencies” (Obamacare decision + I don’t think he is completely solid on abortion and religious freedom either). What kind of justice Kavanaugh will be remains to be seen. Some people say he is similar to Roberts.
