Nope. No way.

EXACTLY. We're no where close to a shooting conflict. Never have a group of humans lived with such a high quality of life as we have in the US today. It is very easy to give away liberty when you're well fed, have outstanding medical care, and a tremendous amount of perceived freedom.

We, as the overtaxed class are too small to revolt on that alone, despite carrying the load of so many freeloaders.

There is zero chance of a shooting civil war anytime in the near future. Even door to door gun confiscation virtually zero chance of any meaningful armed response... although I also don't think we're anywhere close to that...

If the Dems impeach and remove, you won't even have much in the way of peaceful protest by his supporters. Maybe a few here and there, but nothing meaningful. We're 150 years into a slow surrender of most fundamental liberties, and there aren't many left that could trigger a shooting conflict.

I agree, good post. The 24 hour news cycle and social media seem to make everyone overestimate the number of people that really care about culture and politics. It also seems to make the ones that do care more frantic about it.

Seems to me we would see a lot more folks deigning to actually vote before they choose the hardship that would come with taking it to the streets or civil unrest.
