There ARE other parts of the Bible you MUST consider.

Who was Jesus before He was Jesus? Read John 1:1-16.
Who was Melchizedek ? Read Hebrews 7.
How did Jesus, through His Holy Spirit handle Ananias and Sapphira; did He forgive and forget? Read Acts 5.
Did Jesus allow the woman taken in adultery to be stoned, or did he stop it? Read John 8.
Did Jesus "turn the other cheek" to the den of thieves in His Father's Temple? Read Matthew 21, Mark 11, and John 2.

When Jesus returns, the time of "turning the other cheek" will be over.
Take a look at just how long "the house of Israel" shall be burying the dead that Jesus, the LORD, the Holy One, will have killed. Read Ezekiel 39.

Are you beginning to understand?

God taught the House of Israel HOW TO FIGHT for a reason.
They'll be a lot of dead DemocRATS before your scenario comes to pass.

I agree, good post. The 24 hour news cycle and social media seem to make everyone overestimate the number of people that really care about culture and politics. It also seems to make the ones that do care more frantic about it.

Seems to me we would see a lot more folks deigning to actually vote before they choose the hardship that would come with taking it to the streets or civil unrest.

And read again:

against which the stream did beat vehemently ,
and immediately it fell ;
and the ruin of that house was great. "

Remember, if we do NOT OBEY Our LORD:

Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God.
Else if ye do in any wise go back, and cleave unto the remnant of these nations,
even these that remain among you,
and shall make marriages with them,
and go in unto them, and they to you:
Know for a certainty that the LORD your God
will NO MORE DRIVE OUT ANY of these nations from before you;
but THEY shall be snares and traps unto you,
and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes,
UNTIL YE PERISH FROM OFF THIS GOOD LAND
which the LORD your God hath given YOU.

You must remember this:

My tone being in question, let's take a read of Jesus's FIRST sermon.

" And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee:
and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.

and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

Have you really studied the way Jesus taught in his FIRST sermon ?

He made the people jealous in his first lesson,
and the people threw him out,
and were ready to KILL HIM !

The truth MUST be faced, OPENLY, and BLUNTLY !

Without the Old Testament to go along WITH the New Testament, your information is INCOMPLETE !

You and I are talking in circles. I believe 100% in the OT & NT.

Remember Christ’s New Commandment in John 13:34

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”

We are not to kill in the name of Christ, if that is what you are suggesting - and it sure sounds like it.

Take that up with The Lord, you won’t win that fight. I’m sticking to what He said.
