About the CWII Ping List

The CWII Ping List is short for Civil War II. It is NOT a list of people advocating another Civil War in America. It is a list of people who are interested in the parallels between the Civil War (or War Between the States, if you prefer) and our current situation, or more generally are noting the references to a 'coming Civil War' that are made in the press.

Of course sometimes this is merely a figure of speech, such as "The Tea Parties are fighting a civil war for the heart of the GOP". This would not merit a CWII ping.

On the other hand someone saying something like "The events in California are reminiscent of what happened in Yugoslavia in the period proceeding the Civil War" would merit a ping.

FR rules do not permit advocating for the overthrow of the Republic, and I am not aware of anyone doing so on the list. Still many do see that as the political climate worsens we may be heading in a direction that makes such a conflict all but inevitable, particularly if other avenues for resolving our differences are taken away. Such as widespread vote fraud by leftists making elections meaningless, or a small cadre of judges over-ruling all attempts to end destructive policies over the clear will of the people.

It is okay in a liberal person’s world view to attack anything that is conservative. See a Republican bumper sticker; key the car. See a Republican eating in a restaurant; harass them. All of that is okay. But for a conservative, what do you attack? A person whose car sports a coexist bumper sticker? Attack somebody wearing a pussy hat? For a conservative, that would be absurd. I don’t think an all-out shooting war is necessary. A few targeted disappearances of key figures in the media, entertainment world, academia and politics, and encounters with a Bulgarian umbrella, should send a clear message that the game is over.

You can feel what it felt like in 1939 France, with the growing resentment. With manlier conservatives, resentment is OK because we break off relationship at 50% when we still have 50% of fondness left.

With feminine liberals , they keep in the relationship to further up their resentment to 80% or 100% so they do not have any fondness left..

You had a good article until you went off into the weeds with your smashing 2 rocks made of pure U-235. 1) you could never grab one because the radiation would interupt your nervous system and overwhelm you before you could pick up said rocks and 2) smashing u-235 into itself won't do anything. thats a super simple oversimplification of how nuclear bombs work. and not even close to how fission works.

Civil Wars happen in places where there are large numbers of unemployed young men. You need demographics where men aged about 16-25 outnumber men over 35 and you need unemployment overall well over 15%.

That why every person needs to:

A) form into leaderless cells, able to act independently of a bigger group, and
