President Donald Trump deviated from his previously measured comments about the woman who has accused his Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault when he questioned Thursday why the woman didn't call the police 36 years ago, when she says the incident happened.
"Why didn't somebody call the FBI 36 years ago? I mean you could also say when did this all happen, what's going on? To take a man like this and besmirch -- now with that being said, let her have her say and let's see how it all works out," Trump said during an interview on Fox News just before his rally in Las Vegas.
"I think it's a very sad situation. He's an outstanding person," Trump added.
Professor Christine Blasey Ford has accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her at a party outside Washington when they were in high school. He denies it happened....

I think the answer here is that she would have had to call the FBI every Sunday morning for three years straight to report drunken behavior and sexual liaisons with various young men from the local area from each Saturday evening. The FBI would have a 1,500 page dossier on Ford and the various/multiple assaults.
Um... it’s not in the FBI’s jurisdiction and it wasn’t 35 years ago.
If this happened, she should have notified local law enforcement.
If I understand correctly, there is no statute of limitations in her state and so she could still do so today.
she wrote 2 copies of the letter, one for BezosPost and one for DuFuh. She didn’t want to go public. Then after the nomination hearing process is over she goes public. Clearly it wasn’t a “stop the nomination” deal until everything else failed.

Your right, what woman and especially a 15 year old would call the FBI for molestation. On the other hand the FBI was involved in the Anita Hill/Clarence Thomas dust up.

Exactly. It’s incredibly frustrating to watch the idiots on the TV news shows speaking of Ms Ford’s demands for an FBI investigation as something completely reasonable. It’s insanity. This is not now nor has it ever been a matter for the FBI. And even if it were, what the hell is it they’re supposed to be investigating about an alleged 36-year-old teen party? What exactly is this investigation supposed to involve? Physical evidence? Ms Ford’s hair stuck Brett K’s letterman sweater or something? What sort of ‘evidence’ relating to this alleged party could possibly exist other than witness recollections? The three guys she’s named as in attendance are already on the record as denying her story. There’s nothing to investigate. Period.

CAN SOMEONE SHOW ME OR PRODUCE THE FEDERAL CODE ON GRABBING SOMEONES ASS OR SEXUAL ASSAULT. THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN HANDLED BY, IF IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED, BY LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT. IF IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED AND SHE TOLD HER PARENTS AND THEY CALLED THE FBI, THE FBI WOULD HAVE REFERRED THEM TO THE LOCAL POLICE/SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT. IF SHE HAD CALLED 911 FROM THE HOUSE THAT EVENING, LOCAL COPS WOULD HAVE SHOWN UP IN A PATROL CAR, WITH POLICE OR SHERIFF’S DEPT WRITTEN ON THE SIDE, AND THEN SHE WOULD HAVE TALKED TO A DETECTIVE IN THE LOCAL POLICE/SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT. NOT AN FBI AGENT.
THE ONLY TIME THE FBI WILL GET INVOLVED IN “SEX CRIMES” IS HUMAN TRAFFICKING, KIDNAPPING ACROSS STATE LINES(FOR CONTINUITY), ETC. NOT FOR TEENAGERS TRYING TO GET TO SECOND BASE.
I doubt there is one person that comes on this site that would trust the FBI to investigate a kid stealing a pack of gum, from a convenience store, but something like this breaks and its: Call the FBI ... Why didn’t the FBI do anything ... the FBI should do this or that. The FBI investigates FEDERAL CRIMES, not state level crimes.
Actually, this is no different than what happened at Parkland HS. The FBI is not responsible for any of that, other than passing the information along to local law enforcement. They are there as a supporting agency. They take the lead when the incident is “terror related” otherwise they aren’t responsible for anything.

Exactly, Trump really needs to keep out of this if he's going to make such easily demolished arguments on top of putting together such a poorly vetted nominee. It's meat for the base but doesn't help the goal of getting a conservative justice on the court.
He should be cutting his losses and getting a new less tainted nominee in the pipeline. There are many conservative justices to chose from and if Kavanaugh gets on the court you know the liberals will bring up this allegation on every court decision he participates in.

This is asinine. Judge Kavanaugh had and has a spotless, blemish-free background.
If you think that a different, new candidate for Supreme Court Justice wouldn't result in even more unsubstantiated jokes of an accusation, then I have a bridge to sell you.
