...so they shot down their own plane and are blaming Israel?
Did I get that right?
Maybe the Russians should get the hell out of Syria as they should not have been there in the first place. But, what do I know.
Maybe Russia should have kept their noses our of the area conflict.
It appears the Russian aircraft was struck 22 miles off the Syrian coast.
Perhaps a missile fired at an Israeli aircraft went astray and locked onto the distant Russian aircraft, without the Israelis actively seeking cover nearby. I don’t think the Israelis were attacking from 22 miles away.
The problem with smart weapons is that they really aren’t that smart.
If the Russians are whining that the Israelis did not give them advance notice, the question is, if the Israelis had given them advance notice, would they have shared that information with the Syrians?
If the Russians are in the habit of sharing that sort of information with their Syrian allies, which seems probable, then giving them advance notice is the last thing you would do.
Wondering if the Russians wanted that particular plane downed for some reason...
Bring it.

Israelis did that when they bombed Iraq’s nuclear plant in ‘81. They stacked all of their F-15’s and 16’s vertically so they looked like a single airliner on radar.
What was a russkie plane with 15 cossacks on board doing there in the first place?
“A French military spokesman has denied any involvement in the downing of a Russian military surveillance plane off the coast of Syria Monday night.”
WTF?? I thought Russia was blaming the Israelis? What’s the French saying “we didn’t do it”? Do they have an automatic surrender response protocol just to cover anything...just in case?
Since when has Maxine Waters been in charge of the Russian Air Farce?
Israelis are very good at anything they do smart and swift.
