“I would never recommend anything but a revolver for anyone who does not shoot often and become very experienced.” Agree. I have my wife packing a 38spl revolver 2 1/2” barrel. She’s an excellent shot and loves to shoot my 9mm Beretta but doesn’t shoot often enough to develop necessary muscle memory to handle all the various scenarios that could come up in a threat situation when using a semi. So, she packs the revolver, just pull the trigger and it goes bang. Btw, you obliquely addressed this but for those who live in Rio Linda the 357 round is designed for revolvers and the 10mm is designed for semi’s. So, step one in choosing between a 10mm and a 357 round is deciding if you want to pack a revolver or semi, then work through the decision process from there. Btw, one last input for those from Rio Linda; the 357 is actually 38 caliber and can interchangeably fire the 38 special round which is much cheaper for practice. Or, if the 357 round is found to be a bit too stout the 38spl round can be used when carrying. That’s it 😊...

I used to love shooting .38s out of my dad-in-law’s .357 revolver.

With the weak kick, It was a joy to shoot.
