Wonderful story and a clever way to outwit yourself! Funny how we can find creative ways to get untrapped.

I quit smoking that way- sorta. I started with the premise that I knew I couldn’t quit. But, I wanted to see how long I COULD go without a cigarette. At any time I could have lit one, but would say...nahhh..gone 8 hours, can I go 9? Before I knew it...3 days, a week, months.

I like Peterson, I especially appreciate the effect he’s having on young people.

The article was worth reading, will pray for that young man now as well.

I quit smoking by buying a non-smoker term life insurance policy. I also told myself that I could start smoking again when I reached 70 because it takes 20 years to kill you and I don’t expect to live to 90 anyway. That was a long time ago. The policy has long since expired, so I tried a cigarette and I hated it.
