'We're so far away': The Cowboys are in a fight against time, mediocrity

FRISCO, Texas – At one point this week, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott sat back at his locker and pulled a large box to his lap, flipping the top open and pulling out a crisp Stetson cowboy hat. Without removing the plastic wrapping, he pulled the brim down over his forehead and smiled. A perfect fit. One of the few for the Cowboys in this week’s minicamp, which may have been summed up most accurately by head coach Jason Garrett when he said the team (and the offense in particular) is nowhere near a finished product. “We’re so far away,” Garrett said. “We’re not even close to where we need to be. But we’re doing what we need to do as we go.”

The Cowboys have been mediocre since the 1990s.

I live in Texas and I ain’t watched the Cowboys since Jerry Jones fired Tom Landry. There are quite a few others with similar opinions. I’d rather go hunting on a Sunday afternoon.

Who cares, the dallas cowgirls died to our entire family the day THE ENTIRE TEAM INCLUDING THE OWNER, THE COACHES THE MANAGERS AND THE ENTIRE TEAM DISGRACED THEMSELVES, DIHONORED OUR COUNTRY, OUR FLAG, THEIR ENTIRE, NOW FORMER FAN BASE AND THEMSELVES BY CLENCHING THEIR FISTS IN DEFIANCE, LINKING ARMS AND A L L TAKING A KNEE, SPITTING ON AMERICA AND ALL OF US.

The dallas cowgirls, the traitorous new england turncoats, along with the entire PC PINK, SJW, ANTI-AMERICAN, ANTI-CHRISTIAN, ANTI-LAW ENFORCEMENT, ANTI-MILITARY, BLACK RACIST "HATE WHITEY", "only black lives matter" nfl is permanently dead to us! AND WE ARE N E V E R COMING BACK.

The day the dallas cowgirls died. This picture represents the end of the team and our support. It was “a day that will live in infamy”. Read post #9.

For many years I've said; The Cowboys will not get to the Super Bowl with... a) Romo at QB, b) Garrett as Head Coach, or c) Jerry Jones as the GM.

My prediction stands...

Time for the NFL to rename the Super Bowl to the BLM LBQT Bowl—then their “virtue” will reflected in their name. :-(

"I get your point but they got to the Super Bowl three times with Jones as the owner!!!"

Really, you seriously believe Jones had something to do with it other than hiring AND letting Jimmy Johnson build the team!?!

The year after Jimmy left, Jerry's little 'Girls' won based on what Jimmy left Switzer with.

And since then...like I said; they won't get back to the Super Bowl as long as Garrett is Head Coach and Jones keeps playing General Manager.

Yep. I hear you. Not a Cowboys fan, but, I thought it was a disgrace, for Jerry Jones to summarily fire a living legend. As I recall it was the same day he bought the team.
