Just saw it.
It Was AWESOME :)
OK, a bit overdone, the train robbery.
Han was very much the star. So hes not a clone or CGI double of Harrison Ford circa 1977. Good enough for me.
How he got his name...
How he met Chewbacca...
Winning the Falcon from Lando...not when you expect...
BTW, Lando only gets the hots for the cute girl...and I kept seeing her as Danaerys Targaryen and imagining her in the state of nature :)
TWO surprise castings, both drew their own applause...one of them for the actor, the other for the actor/character...
SJW message? Meh... No more so than the message that made my double-great grandfather join a regiment of volunteer infantry upon a time...
No one has made the Kessel Run in under 20 parsecs! ... Hold muh beer (well, not quite...)
So THATS why the Falcon looked like a piece of junk to Luke so long ago (in our era)...
No vilification of religion, Americanism (I found the violent pro-liberty interlude very American on both counts!),poly-ticks or honkitude...
Anyway, it was the very first showing in my metro area. Yeah, sparsely attended, but yeah. most folks are at work, and if I wasnt on a four ten-hour day schedule, I would be too!
...which leads me to believe that NOT ONE PERSON in this grumpy get-off-my-lawn thread had actually SEEN it before trashing it.
No yawns!!
...
The very first villain is a female-sounding monstrosity that resembles a giant bug and is hurt by exposure to light.
Sounds like Hildabeast to me!
Unlike photoshopped images the text seems to drape naturally, so, no, it is a real picture.
I take some small satisfaction that my appraisal of their accoutrements in relation to their breasts would almost certainly be offensive to at least one of these gals.
Deplorables Forever! (tm)
Mwahahahahahah!
Yes...
Beauty and the Beast...
Pocahontas...
Mulan...
The Little Mermaid...
Frozen...
Just to name a few...
Reminds me of how mothers dress their little boys and girls when they are trying to boost their self-esteem and make them feel special. You know, like "Mommy's Little Slugger" and cutsey messages like that.
And the new Oceans flick...
We saw it coming with the female Karate Kid. OY!
Read my shirt if you want to know who I am! Hey, it doesnt take THAT long to read! PIG!
Emilia Clarke spent so much time in GOT running around naked, I barely recognize her clothed.
LOL!
“If your eyes are up there why did you put your message to the world down there?”
No kidding. First the author threw me with the cutesy and incomprehensible title, then he went on and on and on, without coming to the point. I gave up after the first thousand words of his tome.

The look on Kennedy’s face is one I know well here in NorCal libland. Her eyes are filled with hatred and bitterness, despite the fact that she is a wealthy Hollywood producer. Given the chance they would have all us conservatives dead. I’m not kidding.
Yeah, well, The Force needs regular exercise and a balanced diet. And practice what it supposedly preaches about diversity.
Once again, something cool of, by, and originally for the fun-loving kid in all of us has been hi-jacked. Its now being meagerly spun out in small play nice and eat-your-broccoli doses by Mom.
The Force...likes your caterer.
If those harridans made it, I wouldn't eat it.
A parsec is a unit of distance...not time. Equal to aboug 3.26 lightyears in distance..
The women Laz hangs out with, hell be looking them dead in the eye and theyll snap their fingers in his face and say, Hey! My boobs are down there!
Worth reading all the way to the end for this gem.
Kathleen Kennedy is just the producer. The director is Ron Howard. The creative control of a film is in the hands of the director.
So this article and the comments are ignoring something that is very important. Regardless of the merits or downfalls of Kennedy as the producer, the primary blame or credit for the quality of this film lies at the feet of Ron Howard.
I have not seen it and can not contribute much more than that.
