I have seen plenty of gorgeous mountain girls. In fact the prettiest girl I have ever seen was just over the line in North Carolina.
Trouble it those mountain boys don’t like anyone messing with them.
Seems I recall you have fairly adventurous musical tastes from the weekly Canteen threads. If so, you might find it worth the drive into beautiful but wacky Asheville to tour the Moog headquarters and factory downtown. They have a sound lab and bring in national acts who use their analog synths and theremins. Might as well hit the Biltmore House on the way, admission has gotten sort of pricey but well worth it, once. Asheville is a sort of world unto itself, a lot of literary history, Roaring 20’s architecture from Beaux-arts through Art Nouveau and Craftsman to Art Deco. Gargoyles, the place is infested with them.
Didn’t say they weren’t gorgeous, just that “belle” doesn’t really describe them.

I’ve actually never been there. But Murfreesboro is one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. Just throwing out a recommendation.
See Rock City at Lookout Mountain. Chattanooga. Way cool for the kids.

The Cash Museum is a bit small but interesting.....especially if you’re a fan.
Country Music Hall of Fame is BIG and excellent!
Gatlinburg is very commercial.....but Pigeon Forge is nice......

You are correct. They are different and both have their charms.
While waiting for my partner to show up, a little country girl showed up at the tennis courts. They were technically for the guests but no one cared if the locals played on them too.
This little girl was maybe 12 years old and skinny but she had a perfect face. I was playing at about an average college team level. I was surprised what a good match she gave me.
I didn’t notice vagrants, but agree Puckett’s is a great place to eat lunch!......and it’s walking distance to the Cash Museum, Ryman And CMHF
Cumberland Caverns is a must.
Belle Meade in Nashville.
Head north for a quick day trip to the Hidden Lakes Cavern and 15 minutes over from there to the Corvette Museum.

That is very helpful, actually, and the kind of little tidbits that are needed.
I still think that 'The Sun Sessions' is some of Elvis best work and it is a must see, for me. To be honest, I figured about an hour was enough. I guess I overestimated.

If you stay a bit in the Chattanooga/Georgia line area you could visit the Chickamauga Battlefield.....or Lookout Mountain ( battle above the clouds)
