There are many terrible reasons for President Trump’s victory, but there are two things that were not a factor. First, Hillary was the perfect candidate; nothing she did harmed her candidacy in any way. Second, President Trump was the worst candidate imaginable; nothing he did helped his candidacy at all, except with racists, sexists, bigots, and the rest of the basket of deplorables.

As far as I can tell, the last paragraph is pretty close to the opinion of Hillary's inner circle and most of the media and her other groupies.

Me? I was more than a little worried about how many of his campaign promises President Trump would keep. Did he mean it on deporting illegals, but he'd choose to keep Obamacare, or was it the reverse? Conservative judges/justices to the courts, or was that just rhetoric? I was confident that we could trust him on repealing the many destructive and wasteful regulations, but the rest had me guessing. In any case, I was certain that DJT was the best choice by far (especially once Ted Cruz embarrassed himself blaming Trump for violence that union thugs planned and initiated), but I am startled at the degree to which Trump's actions match his promises. We haven't had a president who kept his word that well since Reagan.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe Trump is actually a conservative. I think he's a pragmatist - he does what he thinks is right for that moment in time. Fortunately, what is right this year and this decade is conservatism, so it doesn't matter whether Trump is doing what is best for America at this moment or what is morally correct always.

And on election night itself, as the results started coming in, they were SURE of Clinton's victory and rejoicing.

And in the morning, when I got up and heard Trump had actually WON?!?!?!?!
