Had a couple CAT scans when I had trouble with my pancreas.
Don’t disagree but so is Googling. I think sometimes appealing for insights are good as it provides a different perspective, hence my request.
Having worked for 20+ years at a world famous hospital I've had contact with just about every major hospital in the country and,as a result, understand just how lucky we are to have the best physicians, surgeons and researchers in the world.
When they are experiencing abdominal pain of unknown origin, it is a quick test to give the ER staff a heads up.
I suggest that you get a GI scan with one of those camera pills. The device can reach places that are missed even by a colonoscopy. Recently, after a year of gut pain and intermittent bleeding, my mother was diagnosed with a benign duodenal tumor. It was detected by a camera pill scan after a colonscopy, MRIs, CAT scans, and other measures had failed to do so.
If a camera pill scan does not yield results, try an elimination diet to detect any possible food causes. This is time consuming and requires discipline, but it may prove effective. Celiac disease, lectin sensitivity, and other food sensitivities are more widespread than is commonly realized.
My diet isn’t the healthiest and I’ve been considering tracking what I eat to see if I can identify a trigger or pattern.
I thought you were messing with me with that name. Sphincter of Oddi would make a great band name. Thanks for replying.
I think if you want to live a pain-free life, you have to research the proper diet and give up many substances to which you are possibly addicted, such as sugar, fats, salt, gluten and acid-forming foods, which includes alcohol. Get on an alkaline diet with mostly fresh fruits and vegetables that lower acid in the body (there are lists of them online) and very little low-fat meat. You don’t have to give everything up forever, but you can have a little bit of acidic foods as treats once in awhile, like twice a month in very small amounts that you savor, not overdo.
If you stick with it for the first few months, your body chemistry will change to the point that you break your cravings to a manageable level and you can often talk yourself out of having those harmful acidic foods because you feel so much better overall. Best to talk to a nutiritionist skilled in acid/alkaline balance.
Many who have the gall bladder out can still had some symptoms a year later from “sand” in the ductwork. But you can improve your life through my diet.
Granddaughter was very sick, could hardly eat anything, all kinds of tests.
Started taking Gluthathione, here is the article, she is back to 85%, I thought if it worked so well for her, I am going to take it, do not have my bowel problems anymore.
She takes 1250 milligrams a day, I take 250.
She also takes a certain vitamin, will freep mail the name brands of these if you like.
Hope you are feeling better soon.
Prayers for your better health.

Sent you mail in regular mail.
I also wanted to mention that you should ask your doctor for an EKG and a ultra sound of the heart.
My brother kept complaining of stomach pains and his doctors (Canada) kept telling him he had Acid Reflux, (get checked for that also).
They never did the EKG or the ultra sound on his heart, he ended up dead from heart attack. Complained about pain for over a year. Doctor apologized to sister in law for not doing the tests.
