I have a health question that I'm hoping members may be able to share some insights on. Approximately four years ago I got violently sick, had bloating and back pain to the point I needed pain medication -- something I try to avoid. Went to the doctor's and had several large kidney stones. Couldn't break them up so they went through my back to extract them.
Two years later, same symptoms, went to the doctor and had two issue. Pancreas was inflamed and gallstones. They took a biopsy of my pancreas and came back negative and later took my gallbladder out and the inflammation of the pancreas subsided after the gallbladder removal.
Fast forward to a year ago and had a similar attack with same symptoms. I attributed it to a kidney stone due to not staying hydrated on a trip to D.C. where I couldn't drink water and it was in the high 90's. I drink a lot after my first bout of stones.
Couple weeks ago, same symptoms. Went to my gastro doc, they did blood tests to see if it was pancreatitis and came back negative. Fairly sure it wasn't a stone as I had been to my urologist six weeks before and x-rays came back clean.
Gastro guy ordered a colonoscopy because the one I had six years ago they extracted a polyp. Colonoscopy came back good and don't have to have another one for ten years.
My question is, I'm running out of body parts to remove and still having the symptoms. What would you do? Is it possible to form kidney stones in a matter of days? My urologist and gastro docs said my symptoms were in line with stones and gallbladder issues but I'm still having them. I'm a firm believer that we are our best doctors but I'm at a point where they've done all that they can do.
Thoughts? I appreciate any insights. Thank you.

You also missed Mayo Clinic in WI. Although, they seem to tend to people who can actually help them further studies on challenging cases. Have a friend with daughter’s mysterious issues, who did manage to convince them her case was “interesting” enough within 6 months to see her.
Sphincter of Oddi syndrome.
Had any CAT scans?
Get one. It’s fast and easy, just a bit more complex than a plain x-ray but faster and nicer than MRI.
If there is any special inflammation or growth, they could possibly see it that way.
Water, that is......
:)
For breaking up stones in various parts of the body there is Chanca Piedra (Stone Breaker).
My daughter has reoccurring kidney stones and took to the internet to see what she could learn. To make a long story short, she learned if sh3 had highbood calcium it indicated a tumor on her parathyroid (I think). Theartucl3was written by doc inTampa. She called the doc and witih in a few days she was on he way to Tamos. Doc removed the tumor and shes cured. Its notalignant and theres a full recovery.

You have a choice: Continue whatever lifestyle led you down this path - including the same doctors - or seek out a naturopath with a specialty on the gut and microbiome and be prepared to make some rather major fundamental changes. If you’re lucky, your organs are not yet damaged beyond repair.
I’m in the process of finishing 4 volumes of what began as a single book on my health recovery and not going to preach. Nor am I going to offer medical advice.
You have a unique set of symptoms not unlike those suffered by others, governed by what I label a number of “red flags.”
Read the following and do NOT attempt to self-medicate. That includes any of innumerous BS “diets.” FIND A NATUROPATH, or you may find yourself facing further miserable health decline.

What is NOT addressed in this article whatsoever is the cause of the systemic inflammation you are so obviously suffering, hence my advice to find an ND knowledgeable of the gut and microbiome. Some symptoms of kidney disease mimic those of thyroid disorder. Medical doctors are useless in this respect, as they do not comprehend the endocrine system whatsoever.
The explanation is complicated, but if your condition is reversible (probable) you have at least a year or two of intense discipline to facilitate healing. This must include familial support or stress will undo all progress.
Yaelle is on the right track, but IMHO you are beyond self-medication (I did mention “red flags”). If you fail to arrest your health decline effectively you may end up with complications. The problem is that depending on the makeup of your gut biome, the wrong approach may exacerbate your condition. Been there, done that.
Seek help now; your clock is literally ticking faster...
Highly suspicious for a retained Gall stone. Id the kidney stone work up was negative get back to GI. You probably need an ERCP
probably find some hints
Gallbladder or Diverticulitis...
I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night...
Anything kidney related gets better with a half to a full teaspoon of baking soda per day in water.
Tastes horrible but I’m not kidding.
I don’t think it will get rid of a stone but it will help speed the healing of damaged tissue and thus lessen inflammation.
Baking soda is good, as it alkalizes the body.
The big systems are gobbling up local hospitals or building new ones all over the country. Even Europe and the Middle East. They like to go where retirees are, too.
Seriously? Was this anytime or only when the person was experiencing the symptoms?
Medical advice from a web site is sorta like gas station sushi.
That is true.
