Open-borders advocates quote the Bible to justify their agenda

Isn’t it curious how open-borders advocates selectively use the Bible when it suits their agenda, but the same people ignore or even show contempt for scripture when it doesn’t?

So why would these folks go to the Bible as their standard of truth? Why co-opt its authority? Do they see it as an effective tool in shutting down opposition to their agenda? Shockingly, church leaders are not simply jumping onto this bandwagon…they are driving it!

Since the Bible is the authority open-borders advocates have chosen, let’s debate the issue using that same authority.

The scripture pointed to most often by the open-borders crowd is this:

"And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt." (Leviticus 19:33-34)

The subject and key word in this sentence is ‘stranger’, or written in the original Hebrew pronounced ‘ger’, meaning “resident alien”, the same term used by the U.S. for a foreigner who is a legal resident.

The King James Bible Dictionary defines the word ‘stranger’ in this verse as: “a man of non-Israelite birth, resident in the promised land with the permission of the Israelite authorities."

“With permission of the authorities” is a privilege granted by the host nation, not an assumed right. Anything less is illegal, and always has been with every nation on earth.

So the ‘stranger’ in this verse is not an illegal alien, as some would like us to believe. It strictly refers to a foreigner who has entered the country LEGALLY.

Of course, as with all people, we should be kind to...

Sojourn does NOT mean invade.

America is being invaded.

The Bible also teaches that you need to take a SNAKE (Serpent) at face value:

Acts 28:3-6

“But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat and fastened itself on his hand...”

Revelation 20:2

“And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years...”

2 Corinthians 11:3

“But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ...”

Sojourn does NOT mean invade.

Agreed. The Hebrew word translated to "stranger" is "ger" which means:

A.a temporary inhabitant, a newcomer lacking inherited rights
B.of foreigners in Israel, though conceded rights

And "resides" in this passage is "guwr" which means:

A.to sojourn, dwell for a time
B.to abide, stay, temporarily dwell

Liberals are blinded to the truth of the Bible and thus, cannot use it correctly.

Leviticus also condemns homosexuality and bi-sexuality, killing your children, lying, stealing, etc. Either use it all or none at all. Don’t take Scripture out of context

Leftists never interpret the Bible accurately. They don’t believe it so they can’t understand it, they only try to use it as one of their weapons. Unfortunately, they do manage to sway a great many naive people with the deception.

Commie libs. Bitterly clinging to their Bibles, cup of Starbucks and “smart” phones. What a mental picture that creates.

There was a wall around Jerusalem. God specifically told the jews to build it. And it wasn’t to keep people in.

The Left wants to revive Nimrod's ancient Humanist over-reach. Claiming a Biblical basis for their war against the very concept of an independent nation, should be seen as just one more false claim by those who have never made truth, honor or fairness, persuable goals.

I have been fighting their perfidy for over six decades. (Surrender By Subterfuge)

I wonder if I could use the Bible as an excuse to set up house in one of Pelosi’s mansions.

You know, I don’t remember ONE time that Christ ever said it was Rome’s (the government’s) responsibility to provide for the poor. Advocating “open boarders” is another way of saying “Come on in, it’s all free for you!”

There are leftists who simply hate Christianity, yet STUDY THE BIBLE to find ways to use it against Christians and the rest of America.

This is just and example of how deep the left has clawed in to much, if not most, of what we thought were our institutions.

The so-called “Christians” who are bloviating in support of illegal immigration are flagrantly abusing Scripture - plucking it completely out of context, including how it would have been understood in the time of writing. Here is a page that does a great job of explaining the “sojourner” language - be patient as it begins as if the writer is defending the SJW (Social Justice Warrior) position - but just keep reading - he is just laying out the Scripture and historic argument.

Maybe illegals should read the Commandments, specifically:

“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.”

Acts 17:26 - From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.
