It will be a good day for the United States when DEMOCRAT John McCain retires.

I still believe he’ll die before he resigns.
These preparations are for his death.

Appoint sheriff Joe to replace McCain, and have Kelli replace Flake.
Since Senators are almost immune from primaries and serve for life, we need a thirty year old conservative.

"Nothing forces him to leave the Senate or vote. He's in till he dies or resigns."
IMHO, what would hasten his departure is a subpoena from the House Intelligence Committee wanting him to testify in person in open televised session concerning his involvement in the Russian Dossier scandal.
He'd resign within 24 hours.

Looks like AZ has three conservative congressmen, in Biggs, Gosar, and Schweikert.
Do we think the guv will name one of them?

I said while back we wouldn't recognize the House and Senate in January of 19' when they are sworn in. Now it is official, Thad is gone, Franken left, DiFi will bow out, and now semi-official Sen McCain will not return.
This is on top of what 20 R's in the house taking a powder, and LS has predicted the Dem's will probably bow out at some point, as they got dirt under their fingernails as well.
I was predicting 20, but could it go as high as 100 new members (?), that is my question...

That would give the GOP another vote in the Senate as McCain has been absent since Christmas. Senators preach about ethics and morals and when it's time to display ethics and morals they fail. McCain isn't returning to the senate. When there is a GOP Governor who would "work" with Trump and the Senate Campaign Committee, they should put their heads together and appoint a replacement for the best of the nation - only problem is that McCain isn't going to let that happen.
