Many of the products offered in Walmart are special, low-quality versions made just for Walmart so they can offer a cheap price. If you buy the ‘same thing’ somewhere else, you will discover the quality is better.
I have not had problems with merchandise from Walmart but a few things from amazon were not quality I expected. On amazon you have to be careful the name brand is really from the manufacturer. Could be cheap stuff packaged to look legit. Also amazon sells refurbished items like fossil watches. Just need to watch wording. Brand replacement is one please to be aware.
Amazon can be fairly demanding as far as manufacturer sites, I know they were with my former employer. If the product varies from retail on a manufacturer page rather than a reseller it’s likely unique merch in a desirable way, certainly no less than regular retail. But those pages aren’t as cheap as the retailers so depends on what you’re looking for I guess.
