I guess you’ll dance to anything by Depeche Mode

I love 80’s music. Born in the 50’s, so I didn’t grow up to it, but it was actually fun, unlike later music. Echo&Bunnymen, P-Furs, pre-Michael-Stipe-turned-douche REM, New Order, Stranglers, so many many more.

One of the best concerts I ever saw was English Beat with REM as the opener.

Here’s a great paean to it

Echo and the Bunnymen and New Order are excellent. I got to see New Order in 2012. Hadn’t been to a concert in years. It was such fun. And I was big into the Psychedelic Furs in the 80s.

I love this one I discovered by Echo and the Bunnymen just last year...song from 1999, but new to me:

I was a big fan of Joy Division, thought New Order were a bit arty but being the remnants of Joy Division I couldn’t help but love them, and hearing them play “Everything’s Gone Green” live at full wail was one of my more memorable concert experiences. Do not ask for whom the bell tolls, lol. Chemical assistance.
