Life is short.
Sitting around berating people for excerpting their own published content (in hopes of increasing quantifiable metrics), and further berating people for asking to to STFU about it, is a pretty lousy way to spend it.
The one whom you are berating is contributing significantly more to society than you are by berating him for violating your petty self-proclaimed rules of posting etiquette.
