Thanksgiving is around the corner, but LaVar Ball isn't exactly in the thankful spirit.
The outspoken basketball dad sat down with Chris Cuomo on “CNN Tonight” Monday evening to discuss his son LiAngelo’s recent shoplifting arrest in China and LaVar’s insistence that he does not need to thank Donald Trump for his apparent help in freeing LiAngelo and the other two UCLA player’s arrested.
“It just doesn't make any sense why you didn't thank him,” Cuomo said.
“Did you thank the doctor for bringing you into this world?” Ball asked.
Cumo chuckled, unable to respond.
“Well you better go back and find him, ‘cause you lucky,” continued Ball, laughing.
Trump went on a Twitter tirade Sunday shortly after Ball tried to downplay the president’s involvement in his son’s release.
“Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal,” Trump tweeted....

As a matter of fact, I did. My birth doctor, a Lady, was retired and volunteering at a Red Cross blood drive at the University of Wisconsin Mechanical Engineering building in 1967, 20-years after my birth, when I showed up to donate. I thanked her for her assistance twenty years previously, and she told me that my first donation warmed her heart. I was extremely lucky to be able thank my birth doctor! She was a family friend, and I kept in touch with her.
President Trump was right. He should have left them in Chinese prison; maybe they would have learned some manners, gratitude, thankfulness and some other valuable life lessons.
He is just a publicity hound. Trump should ignore him. He has made claims of being better than Michael Jordan among others.
This says more about Ball than Trump. The president did his duty to protect American citizens regardless of race and political affiliation, unlike the previous administration.

Ball, you're an ignorant lowlife scum that should have never become a father.
You bet your sorry a$$ the wife and I thanked the doctor who brought our kids into this world, they were a little young to do it at the time.
President Trump did more for those young men in getting them out of China and a probable prison sentence than you've done for your son in his entire life.
A more stupid father I've never seen than yourself.

But I did sincerely thank each of the doctors, and attending nurses I came across, who brought my children into the world.
That is also true. He probably should not have intervened.
China is likely saying, “We still have room for him”
They make their prisoners work manufacturing things. None of this weightlifting, basketball and laying around.
Yeap. Work might have been a good thing for him.
