Bundy's got what they wanted 'at the end of a gun', prosecutor says as trial opens (BUNKERVILLE)

LAS VEGAS-The federal conspiracy case against Nevada cattleman Cliven Bundy, his two sons and co-defendant Ryan Payne isn't about the right to protest or bear arms, beliefs about cattle, ranching or the government's role in managing public lands, a prosecutor said Tuesday.

Instead, the long awaited trial centers around the simple need to respect the rule of law, Nevada's Acting U.S. Attorney Steven Myrhe told jurors.

"It's about whether or not you're going to use force and violence to enforce your beliefs," Myhre said. "Are you going to be governed by law and order, or the end of a gun?".......

But Cliven Bundys lawyer said the officers were the aggressors and the prosecutor's account was incomplete.

According to Whipple, tensions rose with the April 6 arrest of Cliven Bundy's son, David "Davey" Bundy, who had stopped his car on the side of State Route 170 several miles from the family ranch to photograph suspected FBI surveillance officers on a hilltop. With seven officers present, Davey Bundy was taken to the ground and arrested as brother Ryan Bundy watched from a white van, refusing to leave the scene without his brother.

A video of that arrest went viral, and hundreds of supporters rallied to the Bundys' aid, Whipple said......

That's funny, I don't recall the Bundys using violence. did they shoot anyone? I DO, however, recall something called the 2nd Amendment, and nothing stating it can't be used to defend against a tyrannical government.

And I cannot reconcile past US supreme Court rulings that struck down the old Black Laws that said black people could not own guns. and similar US supreme Court decisions like Heller that defend the fundamental right to keep and bear arms —cannot reconcile what is read in The Second amendment PRimer ,byLes Adams/nor More guns Less Crime ,by John R.Lott Jr./or Guns Crime and Freedom,by Wayne LaPierre -to the petty despot in the private fiefdom of Harry Reid —that state where the Feds own the majority of all land and claims all of the peasants— It is my understanding that the men who wrote and ratified our Second Amendment intended it to be a protection against Tyranny like that represented by this despotic unjust Judge.

Myrhe’s words actually described the gov op’s tactics — using guns instead of the rule of law. Hypocrite Maximus. Projector. Enemy of COTUS.

"It's about whether or not you're going to use force and violence to enforce your beliefs,"

Or is it about whether or not we are permitted to use force and violence to protect our property?

Our rulers do not obey the law, why should “We the People”.

“Repression Breeds Violence” read the inscription over the entrance to the DOJ in DC.

No matter what those attorney spout, it’s the judge that is handling the case that is eliminating the Bundy’s chances of staying out of jail. She needs to be removed and eliminated from the courts system completely.

“Are you going to be governed by law and order, or the end of a gun?”.......

All laws are backed up with the explicit threat of the use of deadly force.

All of them.

This trial is an opportunity apparently for the Bundy’s and their supporters to tell their side of the story for the first time as your latest blog post states.

The Democrat judge has loosened the rules on evidence for this trial for whatever reason from the clampdown she imposed in the earlier trials.

Heck, maybe its because Jeff Sessions the Republican was so gushing with praise for the prosecutor earlier this year during his Vegas visit.

Not defending the Government here, but the Bundy’s hardly followed the rule of law themselves. Seriously, you forceably occupy a government building? After a long and ever growing conflict, and you want to claim you were following the law??

Not sure who gave these fools the advise to go March off and occupy a government building, but whoever it was that took it and followed it was beyond stupid.

This whole thing got escalated way beyond land use rights, and honestly I think the Bundy’s let themselves get manipulated by other players into writing a check they had no hopes of being able to cash.

***************

Go back to the beginning of this event and it begins with Bundy failing to
pay grazing fees on Federal property on which he was running his cattle.
Had he continued to pay the fees as he had done in the past none of this
would have occurred.

That said I doubt that any of them will be convicted of any of the charges.

Sorry but most sane Americans, even if they are sympathetic to the Bundy’s grievances, are not sitting around agreeing remotely with their actions.... If you think they have any shot of walking after what they engaged in, you are probably beyond naive.

If you believe in law and order, you can’t say, they are free to act beyond and above the law without consequence. The Bundy’s effed up the minute they decided they were going to go occupy a government building, especially after several armed confrontations with authorities before that event.

Can’t claim the Bundy’s are the victims of extra-judiciary events, when they flagrantly broke and thumbed their noses at the law repeatedly. Even if you give them a pass on the original land use law violations.

LIke I said before, they wrote a check they never had any hopes of cashing the minute they decided to go occupy a federal building... they were well on their way before that, but once they decided to go there, there was only on way this was going to end, and sadly for them, its ending exactly as it was destined to.

The jury in Oregon had a verdict on what happened there last year for the seven “leaders” of the protest including Ammon and Ryan Bundy who were facing felony charges.

NOT GUILTY........
