Where's the part of the bill that mandates E-Verify for every last job in the US? Only six states currently have laws mandating the use of E-Verify for all jobs and all employers of any size - this should not be a state matter, the federal government should require that every job in the US is secured by E-Verify, showing that every employee is in the country legally and has the right to work here.

If the GOP can't extract even this in a trade-off for legalizing nearly a million illegals when the GOP controls both houses of Congress and the White House, the GOP is beyond hope and not worth saving.

I agree, but I am more compassionate than selfish Lindsey Graham. I want to send every dreamer and every illegal back to their own countries, so they can make their lawful homes great too. What is wrong with us, keeping all those wonderful people here, where they cannot contribute to countries that are far more needy?

Although I have nothing good to say about illegal aliens breaking laws, if selective DACA aliens have productive potential, and were brought in at a VERY YOUNG AGE, they are the preferred immigrants.

In comparison, we are importing ONE MILLION PLUS LEGAL immigrants EVERY YEAR. 30 million is last 25 years! Most of these are sponsored by a relative (brother, sister, parents, uncles, aunts, in-laws, children etc). Almost all of this class of immigrants are low education, low skills and low wealth. There are currently 15 million senior immigrants sponsored by their immigrant sons/daughters, who never worked in US and contributed ZERO taxes of any kind, but are receiving social security checks and Medicaid & Food stamps. I know many such people first hand.

Then there are millions of low skilled and low wealth younger LEGAL immigrants who are feeding at the tax payer trough.

In summary, half a million DACA people are small potatoes compared to 30 million low quality LEGAL immigrants in last 25 years, 90-95% of whom are low skills, low education & low wealth people.

Where is the outrage about that? So many are twisted into a pretzel about half million college educated DACA people, but have no clue and not raising hell about SIXTY times as many low quality LEGAL immigrants? It defies commonsense.
