There would be a trail of GSR following their path of retreat if they actually exist and were perpertrators. Rugs, doir handles, bannisters would contain some GSR given the amount of rounds fired and the manner in which tgey were fired.

That picture sure does look like SCP or his brother, who also looks like that? It's a name match but we don't know how reliable the site is with its disclaimers.

Paddock was an arms dealer who traded/sold arms with cartels, etc. for drugs.
Hence, his large sums of available cash, and expensive airplanes.

He sometimes does business in Las Vegas, meeting his customers there.

Casinos are great places to launder large sums of money.

But this time his customers — maybe islamic radicals?— double cross him,
figure out that maybe he is cooperating with the US government —
and use him to set up a venue for a mass casualty attack. IOW,
they “sting” the US government.

As noted, pure speculation; but some of the puzzle pieces might seem To fit.

Whether through adjoining doors - or through the hallway (where he had cameras to see if the path was clear), 40 seconds is plenty of time to move between positions.

Note the stairway immediately outside the entrance doorway. I keep reading that the shooting took a little over ten minutes, and then stopped until just before the police team charged the doorway. Is this correct?

If so, I wonder if anyone was in that stairway between those two times, even to travel between floors.
