There was a story, in which a couple of guys got kicked off a high school team, for not standing to respect the national anthem.

I’m sure liberals will be outraged, and maybe even file a lawsuit over that.

The liberals are conflating various side issues, such as freedom of speech, into this entire debate. While these high school players have freedom of speech, the issue at hand is that the coach’s rules for the team are that they stand for the anthem.

How the heck can the ACLU lawyers seriously argue a case in court, over whether a coach can have rules for his team?

Well. You are missing the point of this "protest".

If the "coach's rule" was that all players had to dress in black shirts, give the Nazi salute, and chant "Seig heil" every time the team scored, you would (I presume) not support enforcement of the coach's rule.

These people want to degrade the American flag, our national anthem, and any other manifestations of patriotism or loyalty to the point that people, especially blacks, regard them as Nazi manifestations.

THAT is why they are doing what they are doing.
