The REAL problem is unconstitutional federal protection of unions like the NFL Players Association. They have nothing to lose as long as everyone stays in line.

I hate unions but I loathe and despise unconstitutional federal protection of unions.

Behind most institutional dysfunction in America you’ll almost always find the feds lurking as either the cause or a great contributor of the dysfunction.

Because the NFL wants them to. Because that's the only way to have a salary cap without running afoul of a whole slew of labor laws.
