McMaster was a captain in 1991, so whatever his ideas were about handing Iraq over to the UN would have been irrelevant, he was driving a tank around the desert. If you want details, I highly recommend the non-fiction Tom Clancy book Armored Cav, in which McMaster is interviewed in detail by Clancy.

I have no idea what the deal is about McMaster's politics in White House relationships, but there should be no doubt about his military credentials.

"During the Gulf War in 1991 he was a captain commanding Eagle Troop of the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment at the Battle of 73 Easting.[4] During that battle, though significantly outnumbered and encountering the enemy by surprise as McMaster's lead tank crested a dip in the terrain, the nine tanks of his company destroyed twenty-eight Iraqi Republican Guard tanks without loss in twenty-three minutes."

Still, there should be photographs of the tank combat victory. But... nada.

All the current anti-McMaster BS is last gasps from the NeverTrumpers.

Thank you for the reminder of the Clancy book. I had long forgotten that section.

Be well.
