I work for a college which is very liberal these days, in your face banners and condescending "workshops" open to all frequently, with "diversity credit" (reference below). It's sickening enough. Including having Moochelle Uhbama here the other year.
But since Trump was elected, now we get hand-wringing e-mails about "hatred" and that we need to beware of evil right-wing people who cause violence (LOL).
Got another one today.

Actually, I’d scrounge up a bunch of Nazi quotes, replace Juden with “Free Speech Advocates” and put them on fliers with “Antifa” as the author. Start a riot,show how violent that side is, just don’t get caught.
You all would tell me to stifle it if I kept making threads about my days at the tutoring center!
(BTW, last year a super-lib came to work with us, from VT - yes, one of those kinds. I found out quickly when she defended socialists/communists due to a t-shirt she was wearing about Chinese commies translating into English.)

You go on by swallowing hard and learning from this. Look at the overt bias in that letter. Appreciate the left’s arguments and learn how to rebut them. You say you need this part time job, so keep your head straight, don’t expose yourself, but don’t do anything that compromises your principles. You will come out of this much stronger in your conservative beliefs.
1. Find your tribe, whether on campus or off. When you have a community of like-minded, the rest of the travails of the world become easier.
2. Know that it is NOT just you.
3. You can try to argue it and fight it, though I understand why you’d be afraid for your actual safety and job because of liberal bullies. Being reminded how you are in the right, though, and hearing others’ stories can help.

The authoritarian left is imitating the political officers of the Soviet Union. We have to maintain the ideological purity of the people, especially those in any position of authority and influence. Conversely, if someone doesn’t meet political purity standards, purge them from any position of influence, respect, material comfort - if not send them to the gulag.

The MIS department I was in was a daily exercise in “good think” and “good speak”. I said something derogatory about the kenyan and I might as well be in the stocks like they did in the olden days.
Life went from so-so to downright miserable.
The PHB-ette over me would have made a great Soviet era political officer. She had the looks for it too. Think of the 80s Wendy’s commercial of the beauty contest.
Those ladies were lookers compared to what I dealt with. Ugly inside and out.
I’m so glad to be free of that place. I’d never go back there either working or taking a class.
Start lobbying your state legislature. Make the point that the purpose of the state subsidizing higher education is so that students will be able to get better jobs than with just a high school diploma.
The list the majors offered by your school, and job placement in those majors six months after graduation. Then a simple question to your state legislators:
“If these college majors do not improve either the lives of students, or our economy; in fact leaving many students deeply in debt; then *why* is the state subsidizing them?”
Stop giving schools money to impoverish and indoctrinate. Make them clean up their act.

If you are in conservative dominated states try to influence who gets put on the college\university governing boards. Try to make sure its not just people who want good tickets at sporting events! Maybe get yourself appointed! In many places the boards have surprising power which historically they are reluctant to use.
Write your alumni association and tell them institutional behavior changes or no money!
So it's *doubly* fitting.
If you could get away with it without being seen, I would write “Trump” in chalk everywhere on campus

Know that you are not alone and you may actually have some conservative compatriots there even though they are not saying anything either.
A friend is a retired nurse. In order to keep her nursing credentials up she worked part-time at the Student Health Center. It really annoyed her that the wives of Muslim students kept coming & saying they did not want the required vaccinations as they ‘intended to get pregnant’ in the immediate future. Her response, “Too bad. It’s required.” What she was thinking: “Go back to your own country & have that baby!”
This sort of thing is going around - wife came home from mass this afternoon p*ssed that the congregation had to listen to some long letter from some bishop lecturing them on the evils of racism and urging them all to be nice to one another - it is condescending, demeaning, and arrogant in the extreme that these people take it one themselves to judge others they know nothing about and sermonize to them en masse - literally in this case - as though they really did have some special moral superiority and those they’re addressing hadn’t heard the message before a hundred times - it’s group hysteria from a bunch of cowards who don’t know their own minds and aren’t centered enough to say here’s what I believe take it or leave it, and I respect what you believe too - eventually it will fade - righteous indignation gets stale pretty quickly - just keep griping and venting until people start to get their senses back.....
Yeah, in the old days of Bush Sr. We had College Republicans on my alma mater’s large campus, even if it meant only a puny gathering of 30. This smaller local college doesn’t seem to have any established groups like that! There are only 1 or 2 co-workers I think are conservative, and many who are flaming proud socialists! I mean, they say that, and how they hate trump and can’t understand how anyone could put him in! I got in a fight with 2 people last year around election when they arrogantly assume everyone is liberal like them and start spouting off.
Once they decide to just build the best community/society they can by being productive members who are courteous to others and only use violence against violence, they will fail due to their own ignorance.
