This credit-card sized, single-shot .22 has definitely turned heads because of its discreet size and obvious concealability.
Trailblazer Firearms definitely got people talking with the announcement of the LifeCard .22LR recently. They recently put out this video that gives a somewhat better insight into the guns features.
This is likely one of those love it or hate it ideas for many firearms owners. Some will like the slim design of the LifeCard .22LR.
Others might opt for a more traditional derringer that might hold an extra round. You likely won't find a firearms instructor who would advocate this as your only everyday carry piece, but as a "last chance" backup gun, this might get people interested. See the full video review on this LifeCard .22LR here. what do you all think about this?, another gadget?
Ooooooh1 .45 Colt!!
See, there are not so stupid folks left in this country! Go Texas !!
Get you a Ruger LCP or LP9. Or the equivalent made by a number of other decent manufacturers.
Class-action suit waiting to happen.
I carry it everyday. 19 oz. Is not a lot of weight
.45 long colt, 225 grains of pure lead is a terrific round.

Should read 255 gr.
The gun formerly owned by a man with one testicle
My wife carries a P-238. Excellent gun. Quite accurate. Loaded with only the very best self defense ammo. She could put multiple rounds in an aggressor zip dee doo da.
She wore it around all day at home once as a test & I never knew it.
I only like it if it can be 3D printed from plans on the interwebs.
I bought the gun from a deputy sheriff at a nearby gun show.
He had fired the gun fewer than 10 times.
His boss had mandated the deputies carry nothing less than a 9 MM or .38 as a primary or backup weapon.
It came with a plastic case, spare mag and carry holster.
Yep! That little 22 left 3 on the ground and 1 in the ER during Reagan’s assassination attempt. When you start poking holes in somebody it’s a game changer.
Looks like a knock off idea of the old Liberator .45 they used to drop in France—for the resistance in WW2.
I’m with you (at least I think you’re expressing admiration with that picture). I like the Bond Arms 2-banger. W/ bird-load .410s, it is a good carry where there are lots of snakes afoot. W/ grapeshot .410s, or .45 longcolt it is devastating up-close defense.
And it fits in my Levis pocket.
Oh it is safe enough but there are too many steps to get ready for deployment. When the action of opening the ‘handle’ cocks and readies the pistol for firing get back to me.
Yep, it looks interesting.
Don’t have a misfire....no grandkids after that
I’m sticking with my Glock 23. With two spare magazines, I have 39 more chances to neutralize any threat than with this gimmick.
Will stick with the wife’s Baby Browning in .25 ACP. About the size of a fat wallet, six shots. .25 is likely only slightly better than .22 LR.
None of us ever wants a misfire (which, to me, means "the round failed to go off")! And I am incapable of producing grandkids anyway (although my fullgrown boys are).
All seriousness aside, I think I get your drift :)
I had hoped that a 9mm would have worked for her, but it did not as a carry. The home guns are 9mm.
However, I feel confident that she will be able to account for herself properly with the Sig 380 should the need arise.
A small woman of 65 will get a lot less scrutiny for shooting an 18 yo Obama constituent who outweighs her by 100 pounds than I would. Or so the detective that taught our intermediate gun class said.
