Don’t worry: when the Dems retake Congress and the Presidency, there will be a one party system shortly there after ... all your dreams will come true Carbery.
IT's been a one party party leeching off We the People for quite some time now.
As if corruption were not endemic to the human psyche.
“I hate how these people fundamentally change America!” “We should fundamentally change that!”
The two party system is very, very important.
I don’t think it’s the system that is the problems. It’s the personalities.
I can’t wait to become a billionaire.
Be careful what you wish for.
Oh goody...we devolve into a single party or have so many splinters that no on can rule
What nobody is talking about is the irreparable damage maniacal Never-Trumpers and their zombified followers are doing to the US global image. Not that there’s much left of it after overthrowing legal, stable governments in Egypt, Libya, Syria, Kiev etc. The US always framed us as the ultimate in fair elections, accepting the results, and the peaceful transfer of power. We now see that doesn’t apply unless the elitist puppet-masters get to choose both candidates.
I would love to see every election decided on who makes a better case that they can do the job. In an ideal system, parties would be irrelevant. Who is the best at managing a budget? Who is the best at identifying and solving problems?
Unfortunately, what we have now is a system where one party never advances ideas at all, but runs its campaigns on demonizing its opponents. And their support is based strictly on how many people they can get to believe that skill in character assassination is more important than one’s ability to do a job. And the other party, which usually does run on ideas, is so cowed that it never stands up for the ideas and crumples every time the character assassination starts up.
As a voter who wants to see less politicking and more problem solving, I am very frustrated.
No one really knows if the 2-party-system will go away. The internet changes everything. Purpose was to combine funds to pay for tv ads. Now, the 2-party-system’s only purpose seems to be corruption.
Maxine’s all black party will save the day.
I’m not sure of the future, but I see the dim party as being unstable. It is made up of too many factions that aren’t compatible with each other.
They effectively are anti-Jew, pro-islam, pro-homo. Blacks at large, really aren’t too hopped up about Latinos, etc.
He is missing the target here. The Republicants are Free Trade offshoring globalists. That is their biggest problem. No tariffs, no walls and soon IMO no party.
There are three political factions in the USA:
The dems are laughing at the Trump people because the republican party is working against them. They think their party would never do this to them— if they ever wake up from their Trump nightmare they would see this has already happened with the Bernie crowd.
What neither party sees is the Trump and Bernie people see the same problems in DC, they just have different solutions.
Eliminate the obvious crime syndicate party at the ballot box. Hold the other one accountable. Problem solved. On the right track BUMP! MAGA.
They care about appeasing the immensely powerful Israel lobby, which in many ways runs this country.
Riddle me this: If the Israel lobby is so powerful, then why is there so much Muslim immigration? Surely if this country becomes even 5% Muslim, that bodes ill for the US support for Israel.
There will likely always be a “split” one way or another.
The US was founded without the concept of political party yet there was an almost immediate split as to how much power the central government should have.
Washington and Adams were “federalists” and Jefferson was the first to make it in as prez under the “democratic republican” banner, but the debates began right off the bat.
I would say today’s problem is as much (if not more) communist vs capitalist than conservative vs liberal only because the word “liberal” is not actually used correctly.
There’s nothing liberal about liberals today. That’s because they’re communists, which, in order to establish, requires totalitarianism.
It ain’t inevitable. And actually probably impossible. None of the splinter groups are willing to do what it takes to actually gain electoral effectiveness. They’re much more into noble failure. And if one does come up it’s more likely they’ll wind up replacing one of the two rather than turning it into 3. Kind of funny that he thinks a system that’s run largely uninterrupted for 240 years is unsustainable.
