Reminds me of some old 1970s TV cop shows in which guns are thrown into the ocean.,
Then there was THE STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO in which a woman buys a .25 cal pistol, it escapes and goes on a killing spree until the cops catch it and melt it down into a sewer cover.
In other states and counties they are sold at police auction. I’ve seen the public go into a bidding frenzy at these and buy junk guns at new prices.
Our county torches the guns. I can’t stand to watch them torch good S&Ws and Colt 1911s!
That description cracked me up “it escaped and went on a killing spree”.
Now I’ve got a picture of a 25-cal gun running around on tiny legs trying to rob a liquor store.
