The FCC regulates interstate communications by radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and US territories.

The FCC regulates elctromagnetic spectrum. It has no authority over CNN despite popular phraseology.

That’s why the FTC regulates tv and radio advertising.

Well, I was mistaken. Thats the way it USED to be, anyway. Thats how cable got away with risque late night programming back in the day.
