Back in the days when men were ashamed not to have done some type of service. A lot of guys on this forum are quite proud for letting other guys join and were too “busy” even for the Guard or Reserve. Like Dick Cheney, “other priorities”. Personally I’d like to see conscription into reserve and active units as needed. It would allow us to raise standards and get the Ginsburg & Sotomayor families into uniform (neither family has put a man into the military since they got off the boat).
