I wish they would open one around here.

There are decent grocery stores but they tend to be on the high side.

The Walmart super center is reasonable on canned and boxed goods but their meat and produce are really expensive and the quality is nothing extra either.

Winn Dixie has a nice store and good meat but again pretty high prices.

I've noticed that. Walmart meat is crap for the price.

My girlfriend brought home a box of "ribeyes" from Walmart the other day. On the back of the box it said "Mechanically tenderized". Oh, yum.

An Aldi’s opened here about 10 years ago just across the highway from the Walmart Superstore.

Some of their brand items are good, other not so good. [That can be said of any brands.]

Their fresh produce and meats are usually much lower than Walmart’s. Vacuum packed beef sirloin steaks were $4.99/lb a week ago. Eggs at 40-cents/dozen. Half-gallon milk at 99-cents. Cantelopes 99-cents [$2.28 at Walmart].

The local store recently expanded their frozen foods and fresh meats areas.
