The Blade is a gay newspaper celebrating the heroics of a member of their community. I have no problem with this. They are writing for, and speaking to, their community and they are rightfully proud of Officer Griner.
But now will she be ostracized by the tuna bumper community for saving the lives of [gasp!] Republicans?
Exactly! She did good!
Let’s hope the black female lesbian officer and her black male fellow officer are not shunned in their respective communities for coming to aid of the pubbie congressmen.
I was thinking of that too. I hope we are taking care of these people adequately.
Why do we need to know what she does with her junk. Had nothing to do with her job.
I hate the way left has to label people
In my lifetime, Presidents Kennedy and Reagan, who both had much, much more protection than Scalise got shot. There is no such thing as 100% protection.
The real problem is why these were the only armed people present.
Maybe this will be the impetus that gets Congress to force DC to allow real concealed carry.

....it’s kind of a good thing to have a news story that portrays Trump as NOT being homophobic.
The usual stereotype is that all Republicans are homophobes - here is an article that tells different story.

The Washington Blade is indeed the local fag-rag.
It is pretty naive, I’m afraid, to be "Shocked!” to learn that a LGBT publication would point that out. If you didn’t want to know it, you shouldn’t have read the article. ‘Course you could blame the poster who put up the article on FR . . .But it can be argued that, considering the source, it is a positive article about Trump’s treating the lesbian with respect. They could have avoided any mention of Trump, while extolling the virtues of the heroic police officer who is a lesbian. Which, frankly, is the treatment I would expect from Establishment journalism.
I wondered as well, until I noticed that the article was from the Washington Blade - the gay newspaper. So yeah, the probably have to note why they’re running the story on her.
Because it is published in the Washington, DC gay newspaper, and is of interest to their main readership. Many non-Trump people are only now daring to learn the truth about him rather than the lies. He has always been decent to gay people he comes in contact with.
Nice. . .homo agenda, she wants to be known as a lezbo that happens to work in law enforcement. . .as opposed to be a professional Agent that happens to be lezbo.

It was a gay activist newspaper called the Washington Blade. Honestly, this article just confirms what most of us already knew, and contrary to the narrative of many activists and the MSM, which is that plenty of people outside the Democrats are not enemies of homosexuals. Some people still believe the whole “Trump wants a gay holocaust” BS, which is rediculous considering if Trump was truly openly hostile or discriminatory, he wouldn’t have made it where he did businesswise years ago. I don’t agree with everything in this article, but still, it’s time some people in some media start admitting the truth about the fact that the anti-homosexual narrative in the United States is highly exaggerated, and the idea that Trump is a bigot is simply BS, and always has been.
