Some here resent the source being presented. I certainly don’t. The topics and commentary provided in these postings (while I don’t normally go to a source provided) in any event I find welcome and such complaints frivolous and dismissable.
Clarke gained his “notoriety” because he was one of the few who struck out at Obama. Obama in case FR’s forget through his abuse of “The Bully Pulpit” beginning with the Zimmerman Trial. Began using the “Pulpit” assisted by a compliant media in creating “black victims” out of blacks engaged in a criminal activity. They were portrayed as innocent victims of an over reacting legal authority.
In the Zimmerman trial by claiming the attacker of a black Hispanic neighborhood security guard in which the attacker was killed over a struggle of the guards gun. Obama claimed the attacker “could have been his son” and later Obama himself. The result was around 20 or so assaults by members of black gangs on non blacks which ended in death (murdered) or serious injury. One of which was an Australian, Christopher Lane here in the US on a scholarship who was murdered by members of the Cripts as he was jogging near their neighborhood.
While Clarke never cited that specific example he did stand out as one of the very few who courageously condemned this effort by the Obama regime in dividing US . And encouraging members of that group (in this case blacks) resist the police when attempting to execute their legal authority.
That attitude is precisely what allows a clickbot like Sean_Anthony to survive and thrive here. He operates with impunity, because our members can't see the actual mechanics of his operation. Out of sight - out of mind, as they say.

Some popular websites are so monetized, they produce thousands of dollars per month for their owners. I recently read that some sites produce as much as $5 per unique visit for the site owners. If your site is monetized that deeply, it pays to find every way you can to generate clicks.
That's a thumbnail sketch of what Sean_Anthony is doing here. You care about the content of the excerpts he posts, but he couldn't care less. You're just a potential source of revenue to him. I'd hazard to guess that Sean_Anthony makes more money from Free Republic than JimRob does.
