I lived in the UK many years ago. I was a legal resident because they needed my job skills in the North Sea for Oil Exploration. In the UK I did enjoy national health “for free.” As a very high income earner my taxes were obscene to say the least. Can you say 50%. National Health was not free, I paid out the ass for it via my taxes.
However it was their nation and not mine. I accepted their rules and customs to live there by my own choice Why can not immigrants to my nation of the USA do the same?
