I longer Scarborough can keep up the I’m-a-Republican-but-this-all-troubles-me-so-much schtick. Scarborough is first and foremost a creature of the Beltway culture. His party affiliation is hardly worth a footnote given that his job is to cater to mindset of the political class.
Now, normal people (present company included) will offer no excuses for Greg Gianforte’s assault of a journalist, regardless of how obnoxious the guy’s behavior may have been, or how much we may think the journalism profession in general deserves one big body slam. There’s no excuse for it. No one will make any.
If true, all the more reason to love Trump.
That’s why we’ll never see the video that we all know exists.

I use to have a smidgeon of hope that old Joe might morph more to the right, but with comments like this, and marrying the loony democrat Mika, we can write him off. He’s gone gone.
The show's good for laughs...and to remind us why we stay loyal to Donald Trump. AND cringe worthy - like when one of the Republican haters tells, (with a straight face) about how Republicans could save themselves “if only they would _____” Then they fill in the blank with some self serving drivel that would help democrats or damage President Trump. Do they know how their phony 'concern' for Republicans - Republicans they hate - is soooooo obvious? And funny?
In line with that, the funniest days were right after the election when the 'oh so elite' blowhards had to face the reality of Trump's election - a feat they had assured us was NOT possible...(OK, at one point Mika said it 'might be possible') Then, the 'day after' Trump won - all of ‘em looked like their mothers had just died. A few weeks later they were back on their game saying how stupid Trump was and how (fill in the blank 'Trump idea') would NOT work. The whole party would 'leave him' and he'd be out... Republicans would soon turn away from Trump... or that Republicans wouldn't be able to win special elections etc. etc... Always wrong. Always arrogant. Always ready the next day to make new pronouncement that will be equally wrong.
Amazing to watch - - like a slow motion train wreck.
Odd how the Morning Joe crew doesn't rant on and on about how stupid Hillary was for losing the election...or how incompetent democrats are for continuing to lose elections. Or great ideas for Chuck Schumer... Nope. Those 'oh so smart democrat elites' can keep losing until there's not one democrat left in Washington DC and Joes' crew will stand in awe of 'em. Slow motion...
Was Ben Jacobs involved in that mess with Corey Lewendowski down in Palm Beach last year?
I'm not sure. I saw a comment on another thread yesterday that said Jacobs is the boyfriend of the Michelle Fields from the Lewandowski incident, but according to Wikipedia, she's engaged to Jamie Weinstein from The Daily Caller.
If the below is correct, the reporter had it coming to him.
"A statement about Jacobs’ assault from Greg for Montana campaign spokesperson Shane Scanlon reads:
Tonight, as Greg was giving a separate interview in a private office, The Guardian’s Ben Jacobs entered the office without permission, aggressively shoved a recorder in Greg’s face, and began asking badgering questions. Jacobs was asked to leave. After asking Jacobs to lower the records (mike - recording device?), Jacobs declined. Greg then attempted to grab the phone that was pushed in his face. Jacobs then grabbed Greg’s wrist, and spun away from Greg, pushing them both to the ground. It’s unfortunate that this aggressive behavior from a liberal journalist created this scene at our campaign volunteer BBQ."
One thing the video DOES show is this was NOT a case of somebody just jumping on a reporter.
He was obviously trying to retrain Jacobs from proceeding somewhere.
